A Harper collection would not be complete without one of Charley's iconic Cardinals making an appearance. Introducing Cardinal Close Up Tray.
The cardinal image comes from Harpers 1998 "Cardinal Close Up". This piece is the perfect accompaniment to our Cardinal Close Up Board.
Although we hand select every board we use in our production, please keep in mind that hardwoods are a natural product, therefore variations in color and grain may occur.
MATERIALS:
Made of solid walnut with a maple color epoxy inlay.
DIMENSIONS:
The tray measures approximately 16.5"L x 7.5"" W and is 3/4" thick.

The Christmas Count reveals that this scene is becoming increasingly common because the Cardinal is expanding his range northward, apparently to relieve Redbird population pressure in the South. About The Artist:
Charley Harper (August 4, 1922 – June 10, 2007) was a Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist. He was best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints, posters, and book illustrations. In a style he called "minimal realism", Charley Harper captured the essence of his subjects with the fewest possible visual elements.
