Introducing the Tickled Pink Board.
This flamingo image comes from Charley Harper's 1950's Ford Times Silkscreen "Flamingo".
Although we hand select every board we use in our production, please keep in mind that hardwoods are a natural product, therefore variations in color and grain may occur.
MATERIALS:
Made of solid walnut with a two color epoxy inlay.
DIMENSIONS:
The board measures approximately 19" length 6" width and is 3/4" thick.
"Of the millions of Flamingos in America today, only a handful are alive. The rest are front-lawn effigies, proclaiming to all passers-by our national love for beauty. Countless businesses commemorate the name, too - sixty-one in Miami alone, including the Flamingo Canine Beauty Shop. Never a native of our shores, he visits them only rarely today, a prudent precaution since his forefathers were massacred here by beauty lovers of an earlier generation." -Charley Harper
About The Artist:
Charley Harper (August 4, 1922 – June 10, 2007) was a Cincinnati-based American Modernist artist. He was best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints, posters, and book illustrations. In a style he called "minimal realism", Charley Harper captured the essence of his subjects with the fewest possible visual elements.
