ABOUT OUR END GRAIN CUTTING BOARDS:
We only use the ends of the wood and typically lay them out in a checkerboard pattern. The woods we use are walnut, maple, cherry, and hickory, hand selected at a local lumber mill. The cutting boards are end grain because we believe they are more durable and more forgiving to your knives, having a “self-healing” factor, as the fibers close up after they’ve been cut by a knife.
The boards photographed are not guaranteed to be one of boards you will receive. Yours will be made in the same style with its own character and charm.
If you decide to personalize please select that option at checkout and contact us with the text you wish to add to the board ( Name, Date, etc.). We will then design a few options for your approval. Our design process usually takes 2-3 days and board turn around with personalization typically takes 5 business days.

Small: (approximate) 12" L x 12" W x 1.75" H

Care: Hand wash with warm water and soap only, then towel dry immediately or stand on end. DO NOT put the cutting board in the dishwasher. We recommend conditioning your cutting board with food safe mineral oil once every couple of months. If your board endures heavy daily use then oil more often. We also recommend waxing your board. You will receive a sample of a wax we make with food safe mineral oil, white beeswax, carnauba wax, and a hint of essential oil. It will soon be available for purchase in our shop.
